Renaissance Antiquarian, Incorporated, began in 2002 when it's vice-president, Mack Burkhead, developed an interest in collecting machine guns, hereafter referred to as NFA weapons (referring to federal legislation, the 1934 National Firearms Act, regulating machine guns, suppressors, short-barreled shotguns (SBS), short-barreled rifles (SBR) and destructive devices).
As my interest and knowledge of firearms continued to grow, in 2004, I quite naturally moved into the next phase of development, which was to acquire a Federal Firearms License and Special Occupational Taxpayer status to do business in both Title 1 (standard, non-federally registered) and Title 2 (federally registered) firearms.
I deal in all types of firearms, including pistols, long guns (shotguns and rifles) and registered weapons (machine guns, suppressors, SBR and SBS).
From standard factory firearms to complex tactical, hunting and custom firearms, I can obtain virtually any weapon you may need. These firearms are acquired through large distributors as well as small custom shops, based upon established personal relationships with the owners.
In addition, I am a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, specializing in high-risk pregnancy and complex gynecological surgery. I am entering my 15th year of practice in a large, multi-specialty group in Houston, Texas.
It is my goal to provide my customers with high quality firearms and firearms-related products of great value with good communication, integrity, and honesty.
Thank YouI would sincerely like to thank 4 people who have been and continue to be instrumental in assisting me with my firearms business and endeavors.
Nick Tilotta of Western Firearms Company, who educated me and literally helped "bring me into the world" of NFA firearms. His website is www.westernfirearms.com.
"Bear" Eyre, my customer representative at Jerry's Sports Center Northeast, in Newington, Connecticut, for his outstanding customer support and assistance, and his tremendous expertise in "all things guns".
Aaron Einsel of Aaron's Guns in Greensburg, Kansas. Aaron has helped me immeasurably with everything from educating me about NFA and firearms in general, to performing excellent and timely repairs of both pistols and long guns and NFA weapons. I highly recommend his gunsmithing services.
Finally, my wonderful wife, Sandra Gee, MD, who "puts up with it all" (to steal a line from Dan Shea in the "Machine Gun Dealer's Bible") and who has provided her logistical and technological talents to help make my business all the better. All my love to you.
